SIOUX CITY | Emily Post didn’t write the definitive work on manners.
Jeva Singh-Anand says it’s possible to look back to the 18th century and discover plenty from Adolph Freiherr Knigge.
“Knigge (1752-1796) wrote the authoritative guide on human relations and how to conduct one’s life in Germany at the time,” said Singh-Anand, who has been translating his works into English. “He did so by taking a scientific and psychological approach to the subject matter.”
